How to Connect the HP printer to a wireless network

1.     Make sure the printer is installed on the computer.
2.     Look for the power button on the printer and press it.
3.     Make sure the computer and the network are compatible.
4.     Press menu and choose Setup.
5.     Select Network and then select Wireless Setup Wizard.
6.     Choose the network name (SSID) and enter the password to connect the printer to the wireless network.
7.     Hit OK to complete the network connection to the printer.



Connecting an HP printer to the network:
  1. To use HP Auto Wireless Connect, your computer must be connected to the wireless router. Check that your Computer Operating System is in control of the wireless network. Type in the printer model number and select Download to install the software.
  2. Double-click on the software file which was downloaded. Now switch on the printer and keep pressing next until you reach the network section. Choose the Network which should be at the middle of the page and select send so that it will locate the printer and send the wireless network information to the printer. Wait for the printer to connect and you should see a confirmation page on the windows screen.
  3. Once this setup is complete the printer should connect to the network automatically.
  1. For connecting the printer to the network manually. Ensure that the printer is connected to the computer via USB cable. Download the software from the installation CD or from the HP official site.
  2. Turn on the printer and from the menu choose Setup. Choose the Wireless option.
  3. Tap network, which will show the wireless settings. Select either Wireless Network Wizard or Wireless Setup Wizard to allow the printer to start searching for wireless networks.
  4. Select the network name you have set up but if your network name is not available, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  5. You will see a combination of the router model number and manufacturer name instead of it. Enter the network password and hit ok or next.
  6.  If the router has a WPS button, you can tap and hold the button for three seconds and the printer should detect your router immediately.
  7. Press has done and that will save the credentials. Now the printer will start connecting to the network. Once it is complete press OK.
  8. Now you have successfully connected your wireless printer to your network manually.
